Experience & Responsibilities
Bart is known in the market as a tax business advisor for the Automotive Industry with a focus on Fleet. Bart’s major clients are in this Industry going from part suppliers over OEM’s and lease companies to final end users. He advises on a wide range of issues going beyond Indirect taxes and car taxation. Bart is a recurring specialist speaker at International (fleet) congresses.
Furthermore, Bart daily advises on indirect tax aspects on all possible issues (real estate, distribution centers, shared service centers, contract work, VAT and customs warehouses, implementation of software packages) in Europe with a focus on Belgium and in many cases combined with his Industry expertise.
Professional History
He started his career back in 1993 with PwC as an assistant in the Corporate tax department. During his career his focus moved towards Indirect taxes. Since 1997, Bart was part of the Belgian PwC management and since 2002, till recently when he became an independent external consultant, Bart was part of the Board of Directors and Partners of PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Consultants in Belgium.
Bart is also responsible for the strategic development of Fleet&DriverCare, TCOplus and Cars4Publicity
